The iPhone 13 is shaping up to deliver some radical new changes from Apple tree, including one model with no ports or holes at all. And now a new survey hints at an overdue upgrade in the historic period of face mask wearing.

Every bit reported by 9to5Mac, Apple recently sent out a survey to some customers request them a serial of questions. And i of them was related to Face up ID and Touch ID.

  • iPhone thirteen release date, price, specs and leaks
  • The all-time iPhones right at present
  • Plus: Google Pixel five Pro leak teases killer camera upgrade

The survey asks whether the user is satisfied with Confront ID. For those who answer no, they will see some follow-up answers in the survey to share with Apple tree. These include "security or privacy concerns", "I don't like having to pick up my phone to apply Face up ID", "it does not detect my face up in all situations" and "I adopt Affect ID."

That final answer is telling, because nosotros take heard rumors that Apple could be reviving Affect ID for the iPhone xiii. This could be done by integrating a fingerprint sensor in the display or past embedding a scanner in the power button. Apple did the latter for the new iPad Air four, and it works actually well.

Even with a COVID-19 vaccine beingness rolled out soon, health experts are recommending that we wear face masks in public for the foreseeable futurity. And having to punch in your passcode every fourth dimension you lot want to utilise your phone when you're away from dwelling can get annoying.

In what could be bad news for iPhone shoppers, the Apple survey also asks whether electric current owners use diverse items included in the box. This includes Apple tree stickers, the SIM eject tool and — get this — the USB-C to Lightning cable.

Apple tree already faced a backfire this fall for not including a charger in the box with the iPhone 12. And so we find it hard to imagine that it would pull the plug (so to speak) on the charging cablevision as well in the very next model.

And then over again, at to the lowest degree one model of the iPhone thirteen is rumored to be portliness. So in that case a USB-C to Lightning cable would be pointless. That device would probable charge via a MagSafe charger instead, which currently costs $39 for the cable alone. The 20W power adapter adds another $nineteen. Then information technology's possible that the portless iPhone 13 will come with merely the phone in the box.
